The Centre for Creative Photography co-operates closely with Jyväskylä Centre for Printmaking. The two centres, both located in old "Halonen building" in the city centre, organise the exhibitions of Gallery Harmonia.
The Centre for Creative Photography organises the international photography triennial LUMO together with Jyväskylä Art Museum. The first LUMO was organised in 1989.
The Centre for Creative Photography is a part of the network of regional photographic centres in Finland.
The Centre for Creative Photography also co-operates with the art, educational and cultural institutes, such as:
- University of Jyväskylä
- Vocational Institute of Jyväskylä
- The Arts Council of Central Finland
- The Finnish Museum of Photography
The operation of the Centre for Creative Photography is funded by the City of Jyväskylä and the Arts Council of Finland, Finnish Ministry of Education.
EU programme
The Centre for Creative Photography is a partner in a three year EU Culture 2000 / Changing Faces project, co-operating with IPRN (International Photograpric Research Network), located in Sunderland, England. IPRN provides a platform for international exchange leading to collaborative projects, exhibitions, publications, research, symposia, publication, networking, shared databases and archives.
